Special Eligibility: Housing preference for artists. Applicants must pass screening for landlord references, credit references and criminal back-ground checks. In addition, all qualified applicants must be interviewed by the residents' Interview Committee to determine their level of commitment to the arts and dedication to the TK Community. Once approved by the Interview Committee, the applicant will be accepted for housing.

This property is a Washington State Housing Finance Tax Credit property and offers affordable non-subsidized apartments for low income households. Your rent is based on the non-subsidized Tax Credit rents listed. The rent you will qualify for will depend upon your income and availability of the units at the differing rents. Income limits apply. Please call for details and eligibility. We also accept housing authority provided Section 8 vouchers.
The waiting list at this property can vary based on your household's income eligibility, unit location and the properties set asides. There may be a longer waiting list for the lower rent levels.
Anyone may apply for residency at the TK and we accept applications from anyone. We have a rental selection preference for those income-qualified applicants who participate in and are committed to the arts.

Tashiro Kaplan Artists Lofts opened in June of 2004 to provide 50 units of affordable housing and work space for artists and their families, and commercial space for arts organizations and arts-related businesses. Developed by Artspace Projects, Inc. and the Pioneer Square Community Association, the TK is conveniently located in the heart of historic downtown Pioneer Square in Seattle.Limited covered parking and pet friendly.
