Special Eligibility: Applicants must be homeless or about to become homeless. Homeless is defined as not having a permanent place to sleep at night. Those qualifying will be: living on the street or in a vehicle; staying at a shelter; temporarily staying with friends or family; about to be evicted or must move from a rented apartment or house because of inability to pay rent; or other temporary and unstable housing situation. Our property is partially subsidized for 42 out of 50 units. Subsidy is through the King County Section 8 program. Your rent will be based on 30% of income. All residents must be under the case management of 1 of 3 social service agencies affiliated with Avondale Park. Persons interested in applying for residency are referred to the agency best suited to provide assistance to the household based on the age of the adult(s) and number of children in the household, if any. All but 8 units are reserved for households with at least 1 child under 18 years old. A woman who is pregnant may qualify as a household with a child. Waiting list: The affiliated social service agencies maintain their own waiting lists. Avondale Park does not maintain a waiting list.

Description:
Avondale Park offers spacious floor plans, play areas, a Common Room for social activities, access to a technology center and a large multipurpose room with full kitchen, and 2 on-site laundry rooms. A pea-patch is being developed for residents who like gardening.

All residents must be under the case management of 1 of 3 social service agencies affiliated with Avondale Park. Persons interested in applying for residency are referred to the agency best suited to provide assistance to the household based on the age of the adult(s) and number of children in the household, if any.
